Land of the Northwest

DAY 1 Liberia
Upon your arrival into Liberia International Airport, you will be met, and privately transferred to Hotel & Villas Cala Luna, located in Tamarindo beach on the Pacific coast, about 1hr drive time from Liberia International airport. Enjoy your deluxe accomodation at Villas Cala Luna a room surrounded by luxurious vegetation of abundant silver palms, delicate hibiscus and colorful bougainvillea. Daily breakfast included.

DAY 2  Liberia 
This morning  a 4WD vehicle will be delivered to your hotel, so you can have the freedom to explore the areas National Parks or other beaches, or simply enjoy the relaxing beaches, and have the car ready for your trip to the Arenal Volcano the next morning. Breakfast included.

DAY 3  Liberia / Arenal
Today start your journey towards the Northern Mountain region to see the active Arenal Volcano. The distance is 4-5 hour drive (approximately). Upon your arrival into La Fortuna, which is the main town, drive towards the Arenal Paraiso Lodge,  where you will enjoy the next 2 nights in a Superior cabin with both Jungle & Volcano view. Today your on your own to relax in the hotels thermal heated pool, program a horseback ride or ATV tour, hike the volcano. Breakfast included.

DAY 4  Arenal
Today you will be met at the hotel by a guide and taken on the full day trip to Caño Negro National Park & Rio Frio. The tour starts at 7:30 a.m. with a hotel pickup in a very comfortable bus for the 1-½ hour transfer to Los Chiles, a culturally mixed village only 4km from the Nicaraguan border. Here your boat waits for your river adventure, at that time we begin our 4 hour floating safari through tropical rainforest and pastures until we arrive at the marsh. An experienced bilingual guide leads the tour. You will return back to the hotel around 5:00-5:30pm, still with enough time to enjoy hot springs and relax. Overnight at the Arenal Paraiso.

DAY 5  Arenal / Monte Verde
Start the next part of your adventure towards the Monteverde cloud forest area, located 3½-4hrs drive (approximately) around the scenic gravel road around Lake Arenal. Upon you arrival Monteverde, follow the signs towards the Hotel Fonda Vela, where you can enjoy the comforts of a  Junior suite with large picture windows looking out to the surrounding forest. Breakfast Included.

DAY 6  Monte Verde
This morning, around 7 am,  you are scheduled to do one of Costa Rica''s longest canopy tours (Sky Trek) & hanging Bridges tour (Sky walk). These tours have a duration of approximately 2½-3.0 hours together, after the tour you can hike the Cloud forest or visit the butterfly farm on your own.Overnight at the Hotel Fonda Vela. Breakfast Included.

DAY 7  Monte Verde / Tamarindo
Today start your descent from Monte Verde, and drive back to Tamarindo Beach, located 4-5 hours away. Upon arrival in Tamarindo you will spend your last night at Hotel & Villas Cala Luna, in a deluxe room, you will also return your rental car today. Enjoy your last night in Tamarindo, on your own.

DAY 8  Tamarindo / Home departure
Sometime today your private  transfer will be ready to take you from your hotel, to the Liberia International Airport, in time to meet your flight back home. Breakfast included.
