A Bit of Everything

An exhilarating tour which enables you to see in one week the essential and totally different attractions of Costa Rica - Arenal and its volcano and lake, the canals of Tortuguero teeming with wildlife, and the marvels of Manuel Antonio.

Day 1: Arrive in San José
Upon arrival our representative will be waiting for you at the International Airport to take you to Hotel Britannia. Located 20 minutes from the International Airport in San José and 5 minutes from the center of San Jose. 

Day 2: San José
One-day tour to Arenal Volcano and Tabacón Hot Springs, includes snacks and dinner. Few sites in Costa Rica inspire more respect and admiration than the Arenal Volcano. Sometimes lava can be seen flowing from its interior and, if mother nature permits, you will may have the pleasure of seeing a spectacular eruption.  However, often the peak will be covered by clouds.  Then visit the thermal waters of Tabacón where you will be able to benefit from their curing effects.  Includes entrance fees, snack and dinner. Overnight at Britannia Hotel.

Day 3: San José - Tortuguero
Our trip begins early with breakfast at Rio Danta Restaurant and Private reserve en route to the embarkation point of Matina. We drive through the spectacular rain forests of Braulio Carrillo National Park, just 30 minutes from San José. Enjoy a buffet of tropical fruits at Matina before boarding a boat specially designed for canal navigation. A two-hour trip through the canals will take us to Mawamba Lodge...just in time for lunch! You will be at your leisure in the afternoon to experience the local culture and habitat, visit some of the area´s wonderful natural attractions, walk the nature trails or just relax in a luxurious hammock.Our resident biologist will present a slide show on Tortuguero´s natural history in the early evening and, in season, an optional night tour will take you to view the nesting turtles. (All meals included). Overnight at Mawamba Lodge 

Day 4: Tortuguero
Early this morning we will enjoy a guided tour of the smaller canals in smaller, open boats that will allow you better visibility to observe the vast plant & animal life of this Jungle rainforest region. Afternoon at your leisure. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner). Overnight at  Mawamba Lodge 

Day 5: Tortuguero - Manuel Antonio
Transfer by domestic flight from Tortuguero airstrip to San Jose, to connect with your private ground transfer to Manuel Antonio and to the Hotel Casitas Eclipse Located in Manuel Antonio. The hotel has 25 rooms; the standard rooms have ceiling fan and air conditioning, private bath and hot water. The suites have the same facilities as the standard rooms, plus a kitchen and living room. The facilities available are: 3 swimming pools, bar, restaurant and optional tours in the area. (Breakfast)

Day 6: Manuel Antonio
Day at leisure at Casitas Eclipse to do one of the many activities like Dolphin watch, guided hike to Manuel Antoni Natl Park or simply relax. (Breakfast)

Day 7: Manuel Antonio - San Jose 
Shuttle transfer from Casitas Eclipse back to the Britannia Hotel.(Breakfast).

Day 8: Fly out from San Jose
Transfer to International Airport in time to connet with your international flight back home. Have a GREAT flight!
